To commemorate World Environment Day on June 5, the Myanmar Environmental and Sustainable Development Initiative (MESDI) successfully hosted an online quiz competition on the same day. The event drew enthusiastic participation from 43 young individuals aged between 11 and 24.
A heartening highlight of the event was the profound empathy and solidarity displayed by the participants toward a youth with disabilities (PWD), who competed with exceptional spirit and determination. The mutual respect and inspiring attitude shown by all contestants created a truly commendable and memorable atmosphere.
Beyond being a mere competition, the event also served as an educational platform. Detailed explanations provided for each question offered participants an immersive, foundational learning experience akin to an “Environment 101 Intensive Course.”
The three winners of the competition will be officially honored at an awards ceremony scheduled to take place in Yangon on June 14.
MESDI extends its sincere gratitude to the Rotary Club of River Ayeyarwady, E Guard Environmental Services, and ProLearn for their invaluable support as in-kind sponsors in making this event a success.
