Partners to Drive Environmental Sustainability and Disaster Recovery
YANGON, MYANMAR—August 27, 2026—The Myanmar Environmental and Sustainable Development Initiative (MESDI) and the Rotary Club of Dagon Myanmar (RCDM) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to establish a formal framework for environmental conservation and community resilience initiatives across Myanmar.
The agreement was signed by MESDI Chairman Mr. Thein Soe and RCDM President Charles Aung Steber for an initial period of one year. The strategic partnership combines MESDI’s environmental design expertise with RCDM’s community mobilization network to amplify the impact of local initiatives.

Under the framework, MESDI is responsible for technical design, ground-level implementation, monitoring, and educational facilitation. RCDM will lead to volunteer mobilization, resource support, and promotional outreach across local and international Rotary networks.
